Earn Money by Sending Emails

If you like to write, you can earn money sending emails to targeted readers who subscribe to your list. You can write original articles and you can curate interesting articles you find online.  There are Wordpress plugins that will help with curation.  I'll write more about curation in a separate post. But for now, as an email marketer, your main task is to provide value to your readers and ultimately turn readers into customers. You can earn money when your article contains links to affiliate offers or to your own products.  Here are some ideas for earning online with email marketing.

Sell Something

If you have a product or a service to sell, promote it in your emails.
Your products can either be physical or digital. Some suggestions of digital products include: eBooks, online courses and online consultation services. Clickbank and JVZoo are sites that contain a ton of digital products that you can offer to your readers.  This link is one example of a clickbank product. In fact, you might be interested in checking it out.  If you want to offer physical products you can work with Amazon or try SaleHoo.  

Affiliate programs are also a great place to find marketing opportunities.  If you use a product that you like and trust, check if they offer an affiliate program.  Many do and they provide marketing materials that you can use as well.   You can direct your readers to these products and services.  Here's an example of a great website tool that offers an affiliate program.

Advertise

You can also use Google Adsense to place ads in your emails if you use html format. When someone clicks on your ad, Google pays a small amount to you.  As opposed to selling products and services directly, this is pure advertisement.  As your list of subscribers increases this method becomes more viable.   Of course all advertisements should be related to the interests of your subscribers.

These are some of the ways you can use email to earn money. However, to succeed, you need to be consistent and persistent in your mailing habits.  Monitor each of these methods closely and optimize on the most successful methods.

Email marketing is about building a relationship with your subscribers. If you provide value to your readers, and if products you recommend are products you would use yourself, then you are on the right path.
